Azure’s Imaging Systems

Flexible, upgradable, and affordable performance

Azure Biosystems’s imagers cover the full spectrum of capabilities for documentation and quantitative analysis of gels, blots, slides, tissue samples, small animal models, plants, and more. Choose one of our cSeries Imagers for general lab imaging needs or the Sapphire Biomolecular Imager for maximum flexibility and performance. Regardless of which model you choose, your lab will benefit from the same commitment to excellence Azure Biosystems brings to instrument design, manufacturing, service, and support.

Meet Our Systems

The cSeries: Workhorse imagers for every lab

Our family of cSeries Imagers offers fast, sensitive, high-resolution (8.3 MP) CCD-based detection in a small, benchtop-friendly footprint.

Choose the basic c200 for streamlined gel documentation and densitometry (white light, blue light, and UV) and then upgrade later as your studies change.

Upgrade to the c300 to add the ability to detect chemiluminescence at the same sensitivity as film.

The c300 is also upgradable to the c400, which adds visible (rgb) fluorescence detection, or the c500 for near infrared (NIR) fluorescence detection.

All of these models can be upgraded to the c600 which combines all of these detection modes—white light, blue light, UV, chemiluminescence, visible fluorescence, and NIR fluorescence—in a single powerful instrument.

If you’d like the same high-quality performance of the c200 or c300 and know you won’t need to upgrade, take a look at the c150 (white light, blue light, and UV) and the c280 (white light, blue light, UV, and chemiluminescent detection at the same sensitivity as film). These inexpensive options offer the same performance levels as their upgradable counterparts in a non-upgradable design.

The Sapphire Biomolecular Imager: Powerful performance, maximum flexibility

For labs that need the highest levels of imaging performance—sensitivity (pg to fg), resolution (down to 10 μm), dynamic range (over 6-log), field-of-view (25 cm x 25 cm scannable area)—or want an imager that can keep up with their diverse and dynamic research needs, Azure offers the Sapphire Biomolecular Imager. This instrument combines a unique, patent-pending three detector design with the background-minimizing, focused excitation of a laser scanner. The result is a hybrid laser scanner- CCD imager that delivers best-in-class chemiluminescent detection, visible and NIR fluorescence detection, and phosphorimaging.
